Longacres Coloured Sport Horse Stallions

WHY SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN THE BEST STALLION FOR YOUR MARE

Samara Fly, by Sambertino, by the World renowned Samber, stood for 10 years as Longacres Stud’s premiere stallion from 2008 to 2018. In that time he produced no less than 150 top quality foals, whilst also competing at the highest levels in dressage. He  was THE coloured dressage stallion to watch until his untimely passing from a complication following a routine veterinary procedure. View our SAMARA FLY page.

We are incredibly fortunate to have retained one of Samara Fly’s sons; an entire homozygous coloured colt named Longacres Standing Ovation. We also have mares due to foal to Samara Fly in 2018, so his legacy will definitely live on. Shortly before the sad loss of Samara Fly, we also introduced a new young and exciting coloured stallion to the stud; a coloured colt named First Impression.

2015 Stallion: First Impression

2015 First Impression (aka Finnley) is a coloured stallion by UCS Flawless x Floriscount out of Ugenee. This extremely well-bred stallion has  Rubin Royal in his dam’s pedigree + Donnerhall and Florestan in his sire’s bloodline. A handsome boy, he will be carefully produced for both a breeding and competition career. First Impression achieved his grading as a fully-licensed stallion with Anglo European Studbook on 18th April 2018. He will now stand at public stud.

2017 Colt: Standing Ovation

Pictured is Longacres Standing Ovation (aka Maurice) as a foal, standing at 13.1hh at only 14 weeks old. He is by our beloved Samara Fly (Sambertino x Samber) out of Longacres Eureka; a 17hh Black & White graded Polish Warmblood mare who completed to Medium level dressage before joining us as a broodmare. Sold as a foal,  Standing Ovation developed a temporary skin condition before weaning, so his buyer changed her mind.

Fully recovered, Standing Ovation has been retained by us and is now a typical scruffy-looking yearling. A double homozygous colt, he will spend the next couple of years in our pastures until he is 3-years old. He will then be brought up just the same way Samara Fly was, and our new boy First Impression will be, as a young future Stallion.

Standing Ovation will be nurtured, educated and carefully produced as a stallion prospect to follow in his famous sire’s footsteps. With no pressure and time to mature he will no doubt take everything in his stride. His own page and image gallery will go online shortly.
